NM X GUIDE DOGS SINGAPORE LTD

Neonmello has recognised the limited guide dogs teams in Singapore, and will be working alongside Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd (GDS) to support the visually impaired in Singapore. In the collaboration, a series of tote bags exclusively printed will be produced for sale and 50% of the proceeds goes straight to GDS. 

Below is an introduction to GDS and the things they do:

GDS is a social service charity, registered with the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). It also holds the Institute of Public Character (IPC) status. This means it can give 250% tax deduction for direct donations S$10 and above. 

GDS's mission is to equip and empower people with visual impairment (VI) to lead independent and fulfilling lives again by helping them overcome their challenges. It does so by walking with them in this lifelong journey of rehabilitation physically, emotionally and mentally, through its various training and social programmes. It also raises public awareness for these people and guide dogs, a type of service animal. 

GDS, by end 2018, helps over 300 Vis and supports 5 guide dog teams (i.e. guide dogs paired with blind handlers).
