Once again, Chinese New Year is just round the corner!! This might be the one occasion that we are all so excited about the most, out of all the occasions in the entire year! It is the time where family and friends gather and have fun! It is a joyous period where some collect angpows (red packets 🧧), and a not-so-joyous period for those who give them out! 😆 It is a period where gambling till wee hours becomes a tad more legitimate and where we EAT, EAT, and EAT!
Can we not forget that it is also a period where most people do fashion show on the streets? It is amazing to see how people dress up on Chinese New Year (CNY) to do their visitings! People-watch is often one of my favourite things to do on the first two days of CNY since it is believed that wearing new clothes symbolizes a new start and fresh hopes for the New Year! 🧨
